Blog Tour, Review & Giveaway: The Saint by Tiffany Reisz

16117368 Synopsis: In the beginning, there was him.

Gutsy, green-eyed Eleanor never met a rule she didn’t want to break. She’s sick of her mother’s zealotry and the confines of Catholic school, and declares she’ll never go to church again. But her first glimpse of beautiful, magnetic Father Søren Stearns and his lust-worthy Italian motorcycle is an epiphany. Suddenly, daily Mass seems like a reward, and her punishment is the ache she feels when they’re apart. He is intelligent and insightful and he seems to know her intimately at her very core. Eleanor is consumed—and even she knows that can’t be right.

But when one desperate mistake nearly costs Eleanor everything, it is Søren who steps in to save her. She vows to repay him with complete obedience…and a whole world opens before her as he reveals to her his deepest secrets.

Danger can be managed—pain, welcomed. Everything is about to begin.

My Review:

This prequel begins in the present day and tells the story of how Nora and Soren originally met through extended flashbacks throughout the book. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a young Nora or from a younger Soren and was even more worried that my beloved Kingsley would be nowhere to be found. But my fears were thankfully unfounded! Young Nora may have even more sass than the older Nora that readers have known and loved. Soren is still twisted, but just in a different way – which I have to say I was also happy to see. And yes there may even be an appearance or two by Kingsley.

I really enjoyed this book, I was happy to get the present day information alongside the past as well. I wasn’t super happy with some of the present day information we got but that’s a spoiler soo I won’t get into that. What I was worried about with this book was that we had some of the information already from The Original Sinners books and I’m not a fan of books that give us information we already have. But I definitely didn’t feel like this was just reiterating content, there was plenty of new stuff to consume.

Blog Tour: If I Stay by Tamara Morgan plus a giveaway

MorganTour Tamara Morgan’s fun, contemporary romance If I Stay is out this week and we’re hosting the blog tour leg today. At the bottom of the post will be a link to a rafflecopter giveaway so make sure to enter that!

Summary

Ryan Lucas would rather be anywhere but Ransom Creek, Connecticut. After losing his high-adrenaline career as a Hollywood stunt driver, he’s had to tuck his tail between his legs and take up employment as a chauffeur for the Montgomerys, a wealthy hotelier family.

Amy Sanders has returned home to Ransom Creek to take over her mother’s former position as nanny to the Montgomerys—bringing her close to dashing Jake Montgomery once again. She grew up with a major crush on Jake, and it’s not easy to leave those feelings behind, even though her friendship with the hard-edged family chauffeur, Ryan, has a sizzling undercurrent of undeniable attraction.

Amy’s determined to prove to Ryan that life at Montgomery Manor isn’t all bad, but each time they draw closer Jake swoops in. Amy is torn between two men—and two worlds. And Ryan is rapidly coming to learn that if he wants to make Amy his, he’ll have to prove to her that life downstairs can be everything they both want.

This is a pretty light-hearted romance which I always appreciate. There is a very obvious love triangle set up here that is very quickly dismantled which both surprised me and made me very happy as I’m not a big fan of them because they’re used so much. I really liked the use of this triangle here because it was for a very good reason – it brought Amy and Ryan closer together and brought about the mystery of the book.

I also really love that there is more than just a romance in this book – there’s the romance, comedy, and a bit of a mystery too. All of that together creates a fun atmosphere to the entire thing. There is both minor and major conflicts with the characters and I really enjoyed the secondary characters too. I can’t wait to read their books as well.

Tamara Morgan’s Getting Physical series is great and really hilarious – below is a giveaway for a chance to win those books!

Blog Tour: Four Weddings and a Break Up by Elyssa Patrick plus a Giveaway

PatrickBookBlitz (1)

This great contemporary romance comes out TODAY and we are lucky enough to have both Elyssa Patrick and Ginny Michaels – the main character from the book – stop by with some tips for us!

So, You’ve Been Invited to a Wedding

Thank you so much for having me on your blog during the FOUR WEDDINGS AND A BREAK UP blog tour! FOUR WEDDINGS AND A BREAK UP is about what happens when a fake relationship becomes all too real.

I confess that I love books that focus around weddings. There’s always a little thrill that goes through me when I read wedding-related books because I tend to find the set-up so much fun. There are so many opportunities for things to go . . . and for things to go hilariously wrong.

But what should you do when you’ve been invited to a wedding? Here are Ten Top Tips from Ginny Michaels, the heroine of FOUR WEDDINGS AND A BREAK UP:

1) Do say yes to attending that bachelorette party in Atlantic City or other city of your choice. You might just very well run into your own Mr. Dangerous.

2) If you don’t have a date? No worries. Just find a hot guy and resolve to “fake-it-until-you-make-it.”

3) And don’t worry whatsoever about that fake relationship becoming real. As we all know, fake relationships always stay fake.

4) If you must wear high heels to a wedding, pack a pair of those flat shoes you can roll up in your bag. Your feet will thank you for it the next day.

5) Dress for the occasion, even if that means you’re a bridesmaid and are stuck wearing a dress with layers and layers of crinoline.

6) Remember that hot guy you’re fake dating? Make sure to kiss him a few times during each wedding. You know, to keep up appearances and all that.

7) Be prepared to be embarrassed in dancing, song, or speech.

8) Eat lots of cake.

9) Drink even more wine.

10) And above all, do not fall in love with Mr. Dangerous/the guy you’re fake dating.

Any things you would suggest to Ginny to make it through the wedding season?

Thank you Elyssa and Ginny for stopping by! Here is a link to my sneak peek review I posted last week: Four Weddings and a Break Up Review

This is a summary of the release:

One fake relationship . . .

Ginny Michaels has always been a good girl and—ever since surviving a school shooting a little over a year ago—hailed a hero. Except she doesn’t feel like a hero. She can’t even have a one-night stand with sexy Wes Dalton properly. When her big city fling resurfaces in her hometown with an intriguing proposition, she’s powerless to resist. A fake relationship is exactly what’s needed to keep her small town’s matchmakers at bay during the upcoming wedding season. If only her attraction to Wes were as easy to ignore.

Too many real kisses . . .

Wes Dalton doesn’t have many regrets, and that includes his night with Ginny. But he’s always hoped to strengthen his relationship with his estranged family. When his father’s health takes a bad turn, Wes puts his life on hold and moves to the meddling seaside town of Cape Hope. With his barriers in place—and a beautiful woman to help him hold them up—he’s prepared for anything. Or so he thinks. Despite his determination to leave as soon as the summer is over, those fake kisses are starting to feel an awful lot like the real thing.

Blog Tour & Review: Beyond Jealousy by Kit Rocha

BLOG TOUR HEADER (2)

SUMMARY
When Rachel Riley sacrificed a life in Eden to protect the O’Kanes, she earned her place in the powerful Sector Four gang. But the former crime princess is tired of being everyone’s sweet little sister . It’s time for her to get wild, to embrace her fantasies as only an O’Kane can—with a delicious exiled soldier and the gang’s wickedly sinful tattoo artist.

A saint…

Lorenzo Cruz is a warrior, taught by his commanding officers in Eden that involvement equals distraction. Emotion is a liability, and desire a sin. In Sector Four, he finds decadence, shameless sex—and his own dark urges. No battle strategy prepared him for how Rachel makes his heart race…or the way his rival for her affections sets his blood on fire.

…and a sinner.

Ace Santana has a dirty reputation and a mind to match, especially where his new lovers are concerned. He’s eager to help Cruz embrace his dominant side, and to explore the lines between pleasure and pain with Rachel. But corrupting them quickly becomes an obsession, a need he can’t deny—and a love he never imagined.

Three hearts on the line means a hundred ways their ménage a trois could go wrong. After all, even O’Kanes do forever two-by-two. One of them could be the missing piece that makes them all whole…or a temporary diversion destined for a broken heart.

Cover - JEALOUSY (2) REVIEW

The latest addition in Kit Rocha’s dark and steamy O’Kane series is a polyamorous one that fans of the books should recognize and probably have been either wondering about or chomping at the bit for – Rachel, Cruz and Ace. One of the things I love about this series is the strong threads of different characters going through each book. We’ve been seeing glimpses of Ace for quite a while so I love to see his story finally coming to the forefront.

I was hesitant on whether or not I’d enjoy this book as I haven’t read many polyamorous stories that I’ve enjoyed. Yet leave it to Kit Rocha to be the one to pull it off. The emotions the three characters goes through, the doubt and the questions are all things that the readers experience as they’re reading. They’re wondering how this relationship is going to work. I have to admit I was still wondering about the book and the relationship until the last 20% of the book and then I just wasn’t. I really enjoyed the love and friendship the O’Kanes show each other without question. That’s another thread that goes throughout all of the books – acceptance amongst family no matter what. Who doesn’t love that?

Overall, this was a very hot book that is definitely not for every reader and maybe not for the average romance reader but it certainly has a place in many reader’s hearts and bookshelves I think!

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
